Federal law allows a licensed dealer like us to ship a firearm only to another federally licensed dealer (FFL). Your firearm goes to a gun shop you choose, and you pick it up there after a background check. This applies in every state.

You must be at least 18 years old to buy a shotgun, and you must be legally allowed to own a firearm where you live. Some states have additional requirements, such as a permit or a waiting period.

No. You can check out as a guest. With an account you can see your orders and their status in one place.

We accept major credit and debit cards. Your card is charged when you place the order. All prices are in U.S. dollars.

No. The person who places the order must be the person who picks up the firearm at the dealer and completes the background check. Buying a firearm on behalf of someone else is a federal crime.

Sales tax is charged where required by law, based on the location of the receiving dealer. You see it at checkout before you pay.

At checkout, search licensed dealers by ZIP code and select one, or enter your dealer’s details yourself. Before you order, call the dealer to confirm they accept transfers from online sellers and to ask about their transfer fee.

1. We email your dealer to request a signed copy of their license and verify it with the ATF.
2. Once the license is verified, we ship within 2 business days and email you the tracking number.
3. Your dealer receives the firearm. You bring a photo ID, fill out ATF Form 4473 and complete the background check.
4. Once you pass, the firearm is yours.

If we do not receive the dealer’s license copy within 14 days, we cancel the order and refund you in full.

Each dealer sets their own transfer fee, and you pay it directly to the dealer. It is not included in your order total. Ask the dealer before you order.

Yes, until your order ships. Email info@capitalarmsva.com with your order number and the new dealer’s name and address.

The dealer must return the firearm to us. Once we receive it, we refund the purchase price and sales tax, less return shipping and a 10% restocking fee. See Returns & refunds for details.

Yes, if you live in Virginia or within 50 miles of our store in Fairfax, Virginia. Choose in-store pickup at checkout. Pickup is by appointment on Mondays.

Shipping is calculated at checkout from the dealer’s address and shown as a separate line. There is no handling fee. Firearms ship by FedEx with adult signature required at the dealer. FedEx Ground usually takes 1–5 business days; FedEx 2Day is available at checkout.

We ship to licensed dealers in all U.S. states. Some models cannot be sold in certain states; this is shown on the product page, and checkout will not let you place an order we cannot lawfully fill. We do not ship outside the United States.

Yes. If the package arrives damaged or something is missing, report it within 48 hours of delivery to your dealer, and we will replace the item or refund you.

Please inspect the firearm at your dealer before you complete the transfer. If it is damaged or not what you ordered, do not accept it, and we will arrange the return at our cost. Once a firearm has been transferred to you, it cannot be returned for a refund. See Returns & refunds.

Yes. New firearms are covered by our limited warranty.

Our shotguns are made by our manufacturing partners in Türkiye and imported by Capital Arms LLC, a federally licensed importer in Fairfax, Virginia. Read more about us.
