Returns & refunds

This policy applies to orders placed on this website. You agree to it at checkout. In short: you can cancel free of charge until your order ships, inspect your firearm at your dealer before you accept it, and we cover the cost if something is our fault.

Cancelling an order

• You can cancel at no charge until your order ships. Email info@capitalarmsva.com or call +1 (571) 628-2505 with your order number.
• If we do not receive your dealer’s license copy within 14 days of your order, we cancel the order and refund you in full.
• If we cannot ship within the time we stated, you may cancel for a full refund.
• Refunds for cancelled orders are issued to your original payment method within 7 business days.

Inspect before you accept the transfer

Please inspect your firearm at your dealer before you complete the transfer. If it is damaged, defective or not the item you ordered, do not accept it: ask the dealer to contact us (or contact us yourself within 48 hours of delivery to the dealer). We arrange the return at our cost and send a replacement or give you a full refund, including shipping.

After the transfer

Once a firearm has been transferred to you, it is considered used, even if it has not been fired, and it cannot be returned for a refund. Defects found after the transfer are covered by our limited warranty.

If the transfer is denied, refused or not picked up

If your background check is denied or delayed beyond your dealer’s holding period, your dealer refuses the transfer, or the firearm is not picked up within 14 days after it arrives at your dealer, the dealer must ship it back to us. A firearm can only be released to a licensed dealer.

Once we receive the firearm back in the condition it was shipped, we refund the purchase price and sales tax, less:

• the return shipping cost,
• a restocking fee of 10% of the firearm’s price.

The original shipping charge and the dealer’s fees are not refunded.

If the dealer refuses the transfer because of our error, or because a state or local law changed after you ordered, we refund the purchase price, sales tax and shipping in full.

Refunds

Refunds go to the original payment method within 7 business days after we cancel your order or receive the returned firearm. Your bank may take a few more days to show the credit. We do not charge a fee for refunds.

Warranty

New firearms are covered by our limited warranty. Defects found after the transfer are repaired or the firearm is replaced under its terms.
